The City of Lewisburg, chartered in 1782. City Council consists of seven members, including the Mayor and Recorder. Municipal Elections are held on the second Tuesday in June in odd-numbered years. The Mayor, Recorder and Council members run for four-year terms. In addition, the City Council meetings, members are appointed to committee(s): Public Works, Finance, Public Safety or Green Space. Council meetings are held regularly on the third Tuesday of each month, beginning at 7:30 p.m. For more information, call City Recorder, Shannon Beatty, CMC, at (304) 645-2080. City Hall is open from 8:30 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Street Closure Announced for July 11th

On Tuesday, July 11th a film crew will be shooting a television commercial in downtown Lewisburg. Roads downtown will be closed starting at 7 a.m. and will open as soon as the shoot is done but no later than 4:30 p.m. Streets that will be closed

There is a water leak in the area of Bell Drive and the Graham Addition. Areas affected could be Graham Addition, First Avenue and Jefferson Street. Crews are working to get it fixed as quickly as possible.
